Matt has nearly twenty-five years of experience in pharma, primarily in commercial roles including marketing, brand leadership, and business development. He combines technical and commercial acumen with a strong leadership presence to ensure brand success from launch to sunset. Matt’s abilities span the entire product and brand life cycle and encompass both strategic thinking and detailed execution. He leverages strong communication skills to inspire and lead teams, develop talent, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
Prior to joining DT Consulting, Matt was the senior VP of commercial at Pacira Pharmaceuticals, following nearly twenty years in global and regional leadership roles at AstraZeneca. As a member of Pacira’s executive team, Matt guided the firm’s marketing and commercial efforts, including the implementation of a new digital platform—ultimately helping Pacira achieve profitability for the first time. At AstraZeneca, Matt provided leadership at the country, brand, and franchise levels, culminating in his work as the head of US marketing and sales for AZ’s neuroscience franchise—directing the commercial strategy for this billion-dollar product opportunity.
Matt received a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in economics from the University of Wisconsin and master’s degree (M.B.A.) in business administration from Penn State University.
