Maarten has more than twenty-five years of experience in pharma, primarily in sales and marketing roles. For the past seventeen years, he has focused on multi-channel marketing. Maarten is passionate about integrated omni-channel marketing execution and has put his skills to work developing and implementing successful HCP strategies. His strengths lie in taking developing new business models and taking them from insight to engagement using an entrepreneurial, solution-oriented approach.
Prior to joining DT Consulting, Maarten was the executive director of innovation and strategy for Aptus Health, after several years in global and regional multi-channel marketing leadership roles for GSK and Merck. This includes seven years of work on the digital transformation of pharma: at Merck, Maarten established integrated multi-channel teams in China and Brazil; at GSK, he focused on integrating medical, sales, digital, and marketing teams. Earlier in his career, he launched one of the industry’s first HCP portals as well as a game-changing fertility education portal serving 22 countries.
Maarten received a master’s degree (M.Sc.) in marketing strategy from the University of Groningen.
