John is a life science executive with senior leadership experience across commercial operations: sales leadership, marketing strategy, digital strategy and marketing operations. He specializes in building and leading high-performing global teams that achieve outstanding performance by driving efficiency and effectiveness or breaking new ground with creative digital solutions and campaigns. His passion lies in identifying how innovation can make a meaningful difference for patients.
Prior to joining DT Consulting, John held a number of global executive roles at AstraZeneca. His achievements include building a global shared services organization that delivered commercial capabilities across the globe. In addition to more traditional training and analytics teams, he created a digital factory team that redesigned the content supply chain driving more than $50 million in cost savings and built a digital innovation group that partnered with leading agencies and entrepreneurs to deliver a better customer experience for patients. His experience in P&L brand management, global shared services operations, and capability building across an enterprise provides an excellent foundation for helping others to solve commercial challenges and meet the needs facing today’s patients, prescribers and other members of the complex healthcare ecosystem.
John received a bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in biology from Baylor University.
