John brings extensive experience working with Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies looking to drive commercial excellence. He is an inspiring authentic leader known for his ability to think differently and find innovative solutions to create value for both brands and patients.
Prior to consulting, John joined the global team at AstraZeneca as the Vice President of Sales and New Channels where he led the launch of New Commercial Models across 33 markets. John spent six years in various global roles leading commercial excellence. He pioneered many new capabilities, successfully launching pharma’s first patient Service Team model, integrating and launching inside sales capabilities and creating a global digital strategy that set AZ on a new path which is the basis for their current digital approach. Creating corporate memory and documenting learnings, identifying the right profile, choosing the right metrics were all key to bringing this change across the organization.
Previous experience includes Sales roles, Sales management, Government Affairs Manager, Business Unit Director, Executive Director of Innovation, Global VP Commercial Excellence, VP Multichannel Marketing Europe/MEA, Head of Strategy, as well as starting his own marketing agency.
John holds an MBA from Ivey, University of Western Ontario, Canada.
