A client challenge

A large, global pharmaceutical company wanted to accelerate key transformation within it’s commercial operations through technology and needed a yearly assessment that can start to close any gaps between required levels of execution and current activity and gain a competitive edge. Recommendations needed to be based on accurate insights from within the business.

Our approach to the client challenge

DT consulting undertook a 3-year+ engagement. This project was centered around a customized version of our DX (DEMA) Assessment Methodology to achieve four core client objectives: 1) determine the drivers and barriers of digital adoption, 2) lay out the ideal interventions to raise the adoption and maturity of digital capabilities through training, process simplification and job role alignment, 3) assess the adoption and maturity of digital capabilities in a commercial and medical excellence context, and 4) set the direction for organizational readiness to support this new global ambition.

Client impact

DT assisted the client in identify training needs and curriculum design, optimized the digital marketing workflow, i.e. digital factory, global content supply chain, and created capability-specific playbooks. In addition DT organized leadership meetings to set a new digital ambition and relevant objectives, drove further commitment from senior management and reach country leadership to demonstrate impact and get their next level of endorsement to lead the digital transformation journey.
