Arwen is an experienced programme and research manager with success delivering strategic research and innovation programmes in health and social care settings and in leadership and management. They have expertise in patient involvement, and in bridging the gap between evidence, insight and intuition to transition evidenced based practice and thought leadership into daily activity at both strategic and operational levels.
Prior to joining DT, Arwen was research manager at the Institute of Leadership & Management where she developed and managed a portfolio of research and thought leadership projects focussed on developing and improving leadership practice and inclusive leadership. She previously developed and implemented the strategy for research translation at Alzheimer’s society; translating research into to practice maximising benefits for patients and families affected by dementia. She also managed clinical innovation and research programmes at the RCGP such as “Patient Online” enabling GP practices to provide patients with digital access services.
Arwen has an MBA from Warwick Business School, a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Dundee University, a PGCE from Nottingham University and a Batchelors degree in Biological Sciences from Reading University.
