Amit is a senior consumer health executive with leadership experience in general management, brand and category marketing, commercial operations, innovation, digital strategy, and emerging markets. He specializes in understanding consumers and HCPs, partnering with R&D to develop innovations, and using high-performing teams and digital tools to deliver superior in-market results. Amit has driven creative digital solutions and campaigns for consumer health brands in the skin care, nutrition, cold and flu, pain, and oral care categories. He immerses himself in a business to understand its core last-mile challenges before innovating to solve them. On Amit’s watch, Theraflu became the leading cold-and-flu product in Russia, and Sensodyne rose to lead the oral care category in Turkey.
Prior to joining DT Consulting, Amit held global executive roles at GSK, Novartis, and P&G for twenty years, achieving hypergrowth for GSK’s consumer health business in Turkey and for Novartis in Russia and the CIS. Amit was instrumental in turning around P&G’s billion-dollar Charmin brand and GSK’s smoking control category. He worked with data analysts and external partners to develop GSK’s emerging consumer digital solutions COE; insights-driven product platforms for plant-based naturals; and digital pharmacy education. Amit’s experience in international markets including Russia, Turkey, Africa, China, India, and the US allows him to see any commercial challenge through the client’s eyes and help OTC players meet the needs of today’s patients, shoppers, HCPs, and retailers.
Amit received a bachelor’s degree (B.Tech.) in electronics engineering from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management. He also holds several digital marketing and leadership certifications.
